It's was shipped UPS, from Benelli to Mann & Sons in IL. and Ground UPS to me in NY. All in less than 14 days.
Benelli did forgat to include the steel insert plate for the sling. So I called Benelli support directly and it's on it's way.

I just ordered a Benelli steady grip stock in Camo, for my SBEII , new from Mann & Sons Sporting Goods for $150.00. I did have to call Bennelli for the Part number (p/n# 83160).

If the guns is still under warrenty just send it back to Bennelli. The fastist way to get a problem fixed, is to make the problem a burdon for the manufacturer.
Bennelli will have to do one or more of three things. 1- Nothing, and pay the price in shipping and future sales. 2- Come up with a hardware fix. or 3- Come up with a writen statement and instructions, better defining the funtion and use of the gun, that will explan some reasons for the munfunctioning and how to avoid them. ( better trouble shooting guide)
Benelli knows there's a problem here. Just do a search on the word "jam" "jams" and "jamming" in this forum.
Lets face it, If Benelli was to amitt at there issues, there added would sound like those drug adds. you know, at the end where the drug company tell you about side affects or possible death if you use this product. That not going to happen here. Not with Benelli. "When using this shotgun results may very, including possible failure ." LOL
I will also say in Benelli defence, as with rifles, some ammo works better in some guns than others. The brass case of a bullet is much more consistent in shape and spent length and a plastic shotgun shell. and here in lies most of the problems. I have never seen it stated by Benelli that their shotguns can and will handle all or every make of 12 ga. ammo.
In my life, I have only seen one shotgun add that guarenteed the proformance of there gun. and that was a Remington slugs gun using Remington slugs. Their gun with their ammo. So I guess until we see Benelli Ammo on the shelves at the local gun shops, the jam will go on.

Maybe it's some kind of marketing plan... "Don't make the burrels availible so our richer cusomer will buy new guns with a barrel the need." I have a same problem with getting a steadygrip stock for my SBEII. I live in NY where they are legal to have. But I hunting and fly in and out og airports in NJ where they are not. So I have to be able to change stocks accordingly. As of now I'm going to have to buy two guns to get what I want.

Screw that !!!! In NY it's "Lawyer???"Originally posted by rooster31:Gloves???

All BS aside,
Frist- If your shooting a gun that you know is going to kick the sh*t out of you, chances are your going to pull and/or flinch as you shoot. So it should be a concern.
Second- Pride sould not be a factor. Saying things like, " don't be a wimp" or " I'm little and I can do it" is foolish. Plan and simple, "If it hurts you, it harming you."
The size of a person may have something to do with it, But more like it's a person tolarnce to pain, and in some cases personal health.
For example, One of my friends, has been taking Meds. for his kidney stones for years now, and two years ago he shot a 3 1/2" shell. and broke his neck in two places. That's how brittle the meds made his bones.
Another friend received an aneurism and died from a recoil blow.
Yet another person I know, trying to battle the recoil of his gun, desided to lean up againt a tree. Hmmmmm?, gun, body, tree, something has to give here. He ended up with a broken collar bone.
The benilli SBDII is design light, giving you faster reaction times when shooting, But at a price, harder recoil.
You can buy recoilless shotguns, at a price, but they to have a trade off.

I have been trying to get my hands on a steadygrip for my SBEII. The confortech stock is ok , but I found that in near or sub-zero wheather, the rubber gets hard as a rock, and it's like not having rubber at all. Any Ideas on where to get just the stock? I've asked few Bennilli part retailors and no go.
Russ, out

I would also be concerned with learning how to shoot the gun. I have been talked out of buying a steadygrip by an avid turkey hunter. I was told that becuase of the configuration of the grip, it is harder to shoot on your strong hand side. (righthanded, right side) and you have to be perpared to be able to turn your body to that side and not just the gun. Something you may not want to have to do under the watch of a flock of sharp eyed turkeys.
Please tell me , this is not true, I would love to get one. They feel great in your hands.

I wonder if the forum monitors, Montefeltro (a CS manager) or danceswithgeese (in marketing) are reading this and could share some thoughts on this problem.

You erroneously read my post too.Originally posted by tucker301:Russ F.'s comments about Benelli not making parts for the SBEII are unfounded and should be ignored.
I can assure you that they do make parts, and that they WILL support your needs under warranty.
I never said they were not making parts for the SBEII!!!
I said "they are not making any spare parts availible for the new SBE II."
I am quoting the sale reps. at the two retailers Benelli tell you to call for parts, in their phone answering machine recording for parts.
When Benelli's premire parts retailors can't get parts for the SBE II. from Benelli, that tells me they are unavailible.
If you need more proof, I will record my next call to them, and post the wave file for you to hear.
In addition, after being on hold for 15 minute, a recording ask me to leave my name & number and it's been 3 days and no return call.
