  1. Up here in Alaska it is state law you have to tell the officer you have a ccw weapon if you are pulled over and you have a permit. A few years ago we passed a law that says you don't need a permit to ccw as long as you're not a felon etc. It also kept the ability to get a permit if you want it for other reasons. I never did see if you need to tell the officer if you have a ccw but no permit. It does make sense though...as long as you don't do it like this "Hey pig! I have a gun on me!"
  2. Maybe we could just till them under?
  3. We just need to breed more coyotes...uh...the animal kind, that is.
  4. Now there's an idea! One of the links I read said that in 2004 there was something like 600 cases of border patrol agents being assualted by illegals along the US-Mexico border. Wouldn't that make them invaders?
  5. I went and did a search on "immigrant" criminal statistics. Everything I saw on the first few pages said that noncitizens are more likely to commit crimes than citizens. There was one that said citizens in federal prisons are more likely to have a prior offense than noncitizens but that number may be skewed by the fact we can't always get to criminal records from other countries.
  6. hmm...99 acres for sale in Alaska.
  7. There is a vast difference between the "Indian" and Muslims. The "Indian" didn't believe it was OK to kill everybody who refused to bend to the laws of Allah. Even if we pulled back to our own borders, eventually the Muslim would come here because we have a chunk of the Earth that is not following the laws of Islam. I know, in this day and age, we would be willing to "live and let live" with the Muslim. The problem is their religion will not let them do the same. That leaves us no choice but to stop their spread of terrorism into our corned of thw world.
  8. Roger that T Dubya. Do you guys know of any specifics where the Bush administration has lifted enviro regs? I work at an Oilfeild in Alaska and our regs got stricter under the Bush administration, especially our air quality permit. We had to remove a few pieces of equipment because they would never be able to meet the requirements. One particular piece was a diesel engined generator we used for emergency purposes.
  9. I can tell you why the fanatical leadership in the Mid-East hate us. Because their religion tells them to. We have a system based on free will, with responsibilities, and the laws of man. The Muslim is supposed to struggle to make sure the laws of man and the laws of Allah are the same. They will never have a "live and let live" attitude toward us. The second amendment is a last chance right...it's the one we must hang onto if we're to ever get the rest back. When Dianne Feinstein (sp?) said "Mr and Mrs America would be turning in their guns if I just had a few more votes", it proved it is possible for our legislative branch to pass a gun ban. But could they enforce it? I guess it depends on how many people "just said No".
  10. . [/qb]"... Murder? - Probably not. At least not by their very hands, but I'd bet they've got some people who know some people. [/QB] Well ya...they got the CIA, NSA, Navy Seals, Delta, Force Recon, Rangers....

    Grizzly man

He already did...and it was much worse. He and his girlfriend were eaten by an old Brown bear. A video camera was running and caught the sounds of them being killed, but the person who owns the tape won't release it. I'm not sure how he thought he was protecting them.

    Grizzly man

I don't know if he had nerves of steel, I was kind of thinking he might be missing a basic part of being human...the part that gives us a healthy fear of things that can eat you or tear you into little pieces. It was obvious he knew it from an intellectual viewpoint, I think he just couldn't feel it. I do believe he was breaking the law by coming in too close a contact with the bears. I also think he was doing the bears an injustice because he might have removed some of their fear of man. I live and work in Alaska too, I work where we have polar bears coming through from time to time, it's neat to see them but I couldn't imagine getting as close to one as he did to the Brown bears.
  13. I have the same exact problem. What do you guys mean by #1, #2 etc? Was there a pic before?
