  1. My concern is that the rcever in that area is pretty thin and it is Aluminum. I am worried about the threads stripping out. Is this an unreasonable concern? I will be shooting 3" magnum shells and would want to be sure that the mount wouldn"t loosen under recoil.
  2. I just bought a new M2 and I want to be able to mount a scope for Turkey hunting. It is not drilled and tapped but according to Benelli some come drilled and tapped. I was looking at the thickness of the top of the receiver and I was wondering if the receiver on the ones that come drilled and tapped is any different because there doesn't look like the aluminum on the top of the receiver on mine is thick enough to drill and tap. Has anyone had an M2 drilled and tapped ? Or would you go with one of the removable mounts such as aimtech or B square?

    Crio Choke

I just got a new M2. The choke tubes are stainless steel. The picture on the website show the chokes being blued. Did I get the correct chokes with this gun?
  4. I see on Benelli's website that if you buy a new SBE2 or M2 get a free steadygrip stock. Does anyone know the details on this?
  5. Has anyone patterned any of these chokes? If so how did they perform?
  6. Thanks for the reply. What are the reasons that the SBE I is the clear choice in your opinion?
  7. If you had a choice between 2 equally priced Benelli's which one would you choose for Turkey hunting? I have a choice of a SBE I in camo or a black synthetic comfortech M2. Fyi I don't shoot 31/2" shells
  8. What are the differences between the M1 super and the M2 Besides the comfort tech stock and the crio barrel?
  9. Thanks for the info. What do you mean when you say that the 2006 M2 is supposed to be d & t ? I am not familiar with that term.
  10. I am considering buying an M2 for Turkey hunting. Can anyone tell me the approximate weight of the trigger pull? I ahve a Mossberg now and it has a &.5 lb trigger which makes shooting accurately a challenge. Is the receiver drilled and tapped for scope mounting?
