  1. Thanks Duggan, I need to find out for sure if mine will fit. Then I'll have to decide if I'm gonna roll the dice or not...
  2. Thanks for the info MT, I know we are all anxious to see what you come up with. I'll stay tuned!
  3. The guy I talked to said it had kinda fallen by the wayside, due at least in part to the fact that they encountered innumerable engineering obsticals - then he went in to some details that were way over my head. In a nutshell, apparently it is harder than we (or at least I) think, and they have begun to think it's more trouble than it's worth... Any more info on that B&T rail?
  4. So I've ordered my light and grip, but my recent conversation with Mesa about the FCAM didn't really fill me with confidence, so I'm starting to consider altermate means for attaching a surefire and tangodown vertical grip. I'm aware of SideArmor (with mixed reviews), and the fabled (but unavailable) FCAM, what other options are there? Does it strike anyone else as odd that there is such a dirth of attachment options for a combat shotgun like the M4? WTF?! [ 08-21-2006, 02:48 PM: Message edited by: apexassassin ]
  5. FYI: I just talked with someone at Mesa who indicated that, while development was ongoing (albeit slowly), he didn't think it would ever make it to market. Ugh. Now how am I going to attach the forward vertical grip and flashlight???
  6. Like many others, my M4 came with only one choke. Truth be told, I wouldn't have known others were supposed to be included if it weren't for forum members pointing it out - so thanks... Now that I know I should have them, can someone who has gone through the process to get them let me know what I need to do? As always, TIA! [ 08-21-2006, 11:41 AM: Message edited by: apexassassin ]
  7. I'm in the process of ordering all the new bits for my M4 and need something to attach the Surefire and Tangodown... TIA! [ 08-21-2006, 11:41 AM: Message edited by: apexassassin ]
  8. That is some great input Colt, thanks! Like you inferred, I'm not too concerned with weight, and 'dressing up' the M4 is pretty much what I'm doing, so I'll look at each of the items you mentioned. Where do you guys buy this stuff? LGS, or online? Is there any way to mount a light or forward sight without the rail system? I'd like to get an some AR variant next...anybody have any recommendations?? TIA everyone.
  9. Thanks for the great feedback and recommendations Duggan. One question: without a rail system, how do you mount the forward vertical grip and/or flashlight? TIA!
  10. (pardon the threadjack - please reply in the linked thread so as to minimize the interruption...) ColtM4: I hope you don't mind, but I admire your weapon so much that I've strived to replicate it (New M4 thread). Do you have any other items you'd consider, anything you would do differently, or added advice? TIA
  11. I just got my new M4 and want to add some nifty bits. Truth be told, I'm not in LE or anything, and I don't have a real need for a tactical setup, but I want to set this gun up as completely as possible - if for no other reason that because I think it's a great weapon and would be fun to kit out. Anyway... So far I've been considering an Aimpoint red-dot sight, Knights vertical front grip, larger GGG bolt handle, the B&T rail system, and a Surefire 952p light (lifted from ColtM4's post about his tactical setup - hope you don't mind). Does anyone else have anything they think is better, or that I may have left out? Also, where are the best places online to get stuff like this? Thanks everyone.
