Can I mount a red dot scope on the rib of my Nova. I really don't want to buy on of the B-Square mounts. I think I could mount a red dot along the top of the barrel, but I want to make sure before buying one. A) can I do this? B) if so, what do I need to buy to get up and running

Hello all, I'm new to the board. I just bought a new Nova Pump this morning, and the carrier stays down (pushed in) when I load a shell. My 870 doesn't do this, so I don't think my Nova should either. What's wrong, and how can I fix it? Thanks, ths78
