Anybody have any ideas?

Has anybody ever had any experience cutting one of the SBEII barrels down? It is my understanding that it can be done, but it just cannot be rethreaded to take the same CrioPlus choke tubes. Cutting it down without rethreading it is not anything I want to do. I have a LH 28" in the Max 4 and would really like it to be shorter for turkey hunting. If anybody has had one cut down, could you please let me know what choke tubes you had it re-threaded for and who cut it down for you. Thanks for any input you may have or please let me know if anybody has a 24" LH barrel that they would sell.

I take it that yours is not in the Max 4, is this right? It was my impression that the Max 4 was only available in the 28" for LH. Thanks.

I have had my SBE II now for close to 2 1/2 years. I have no complaints and have been very pleased with it. However, I shoot a LH gun and the only barrel length it comes in the Max 4 is 28". I would prefer to cut it down for a shorter barrel, but I wanted to know if this is possible to do and still get it re-threaded with Crio-Plus threads. What if I went with a different thread of say, a Beretta -- since I have a Beretta O/U. One last thing, is there really any advantage of using the Crio-Plus tubes that would make me not want to do this. Also if anyone knows of someone that can cut these barrels down and re-thread them, please let me know this too. Thanks for any help you can offer!!
