  1. Thanks HDRDKG ; ;)

I looked at those, although I loved the fact that it provided a great heat shield for the hottest part of the barrel..........

I thought it was a bit too bulky........and uncomfortable to use.....It's darn near impossible to get any kind of a "natural" grip on the thing.

  2. Hi Guys;

Have any of you ever seen an aftermarket replacement fore grip for the M-4 that is not plastic like the factory 2 piece unit? I'd love to see one with the same no slip, tactile treatment that the fixed rubber pistol grip stock has. :D

  3. Christmas Came Early !

Got the call today from my dealer.........My new M-4 is in. He's changing out the sights for the tritium night sights, I'll probably get there end of the week to pick it up.

Then it's home to mount the X-tras..........

  4. Thanks Tucker !

I was thinking from the design of the Zeiss, it looked like a short tube "scope" encased in the sight's housing.

I think I'm leaning more toward either an Eo-Tech 551 with the lowest possible QD mount that Mark over at LaRue can fit to it.......or....... If he ever gets any of the low profile Pride Fowlers in, perhaps that.

One thing that worries me about the PF is the obviously smaller aperature "window" size than the EO. My thought is that the larger the window, the better for use in a high stress situation.

I may give Mark a call and talk to him about that.

  5. Hi: Mark D.

Let us know what you think of the Zeiss Z-Point.

I am considering one for a new M-4, along with an EO-Tech and a Pride Fowler.

If you go to the M-4 page on the Benelli websight and play the video.......about 20 seconds into it you will see several M-4s outfitted with the Zeiss. It seems to fit very well and is quite small, sitting up on the rail.

I did read that it (Z-Point) is not a holographic sight as are the other 2 I'm looking at.

I'm trying to research and understand just what that means as far as sight picture and such.

Anyone with some insight on that..........PLEASE ! Chime in!

  6. It looks as if this assembly is all milled aluminum. Without the vertical handle assembly attached, I bet it would be quite less than comfortable to hold onto while shooting !

I do like the fact that it provides a good heavy heat shield over the part of the barrel that gets the hottest during rapidly executed fire-reload-fire-repeat sequences.

  7. A few months ago I decided to upgrade my old semi-tactical 870 duty gun.

Well; After lurking here for a few months and gathering intelligence, I was still torn between a few manufacturers and sticking with a pump or going semi. I soon settled in on the Benellis.......

    Question was, Pump....M3-Convertible..or..M4

I narrowed it down to an M3....or an .... M4. To get some questions answered I called the LE sales and training department and had a real nice talk with a fellow there. I had a lot of questions regarding the type of less lethal rounds I use from time to time.

    Bottom line.......
