  1. I have an M2 last years comfortech model.

read the manual. About cleaning before you shoot and the break in period.

I shot 100 rounds of heavy game loads . then target loads after that .

    No problems.

Not sure what you mean about adding weight>

    good luck

  2. SBE shoots 3.5 inch shell sthe m2 only shoots 3 inche shells.

I think the receiver is removable on the sbe and not on the m2.

    I have a m2 and like it.

Depneds on what kind of hunting you do.

    .

  3. From Your manual Dude

    "due to precision machine tolerances

    on your shotgun, some breaking-in

period may be required before your new gun

works perfectly with light target loads. If you

    experience any initial functioning problems,

we recommended firing three or four boxes

of standard hunting loads to allow for this break in period'

    Typical trap loads from Remington.

Index No. Gauge Shell Length Powder Dr. Eq. Velocity (fps) Oz. of Shot Shot Sizes

    Gun Club™ Target Loads

    DRAM FPS load

    GC121 12 2 3/4" 2 3/4 1185 1 7½, 8

    GC12L 12 2 3/4" 2 3/4 1145 1 1/8 7½, 8, 9

    GC12 12 2 3/4" 3 1200 1 1/8 7½, 8

    GC20 20 2 3/4" 2 1/2 1200 7/8 7½, 8, 9

Please notice most are 2.3/4 dram

Remington does not list dram for Hunting Loads.

Fiochii Hunting loads for 12 g are 3.1/4 to 3 3/4 at 1300 plus FPS

So No! target loads are not the same as Game loads.

What i have learned form Some good people on this site is the following:

    1. Save your money

    2. Buy a Benelli

    3. Bring the gun home and throughly strip and clean it and use high quality Lube (militec is amazing)

    4. Pump some heavy loads through it (100 rounds) Hard to do if you are impatient ant want to get to the range.

    5. Enjoy a fine smooth functioning gun for a long time.

When I broke in all my benellis I shot the heaviest game loads I could fine usually 100 rounds cleane

Any reason you are using a field gun to shoot trap.?

  4. "hey i just got an m2 field "

Doesn't the manual say shoot some heavier loads first - after throughly cleaning the gun.

    here we go again.

I might add it is a hunting gun designed to shoot heavier loads not 7/8 trap loads

  5. Buy one , I have one. Would buy another.

    great handling gun.fast and reliabale.

Remember when you buy a benelli clean it before you shoot it and shoot the recommended loads for braek in.

  6. unfortunatly for you and Benlli repsthey are probaly notprivy to what id going on in engineering or manufacturing., especially in the overseas plant.

Should they have known --MAybe I know in my company unlessthey are really sharpand connected they wouldnot have known thosedetails

    CAn we move on now

  7. Any suggestions on teaching my daughter to shoot clays.

Borrowed a 20 ga. mount is ok but i had a hard time teacher her how to follow and hit the bird.

Any suggestions or "tricks" to get her on the bird.

she hit 1 of 20 i though she would have hit a few more

  9. It hink it has a lot to do with the thinking process. Deer gun for bird season.

    - Not understanding the manufacturing processes.

    - Assuming because i want it I can get it.

    - Letting someone who has nothing to do with the manufacturer make a commitment FOR said manufacturer.

    - Listening to someone who has nothing to do with the Corporate (cabelas) pirchasing.

    - Listening to what he wants to hear

    - basing your "happiness" on someone elses promises.

    Trust no one but God!

  10. This birdman dude .

    OMG

You usually hear of companies producing slug barrels for the guns not bird barrels for slug guns. just an observation.

WHO TOLD YOU you could have a barrel in a short time Benelli or the guy behind the counter.

I think you r problem is with the guys that sold you a gun.

    Lesson to learn here.

When buying a firearm once you leave the store - regardless of what the store tells you - you will more thsn lokely end up with the manuafcturer handling any problem.

This is why if you have any questions when buying a firearm , parts etc do your OWN homework first.

    Do your home work.

I would find another dealer after this experience.

but they did sell you a gun.

  11. Here we go again,

Never ever listen to the "guy at the counter"

with a little research of you r questions you will soon know mor ethan the guy behind the counter.

Bought my M2 MAx4 of the shel good price love the gun amd have never had an issue calling CS about anything.

Thy even sent me a backup part i thought was bad on my Super sport .

    Ended up operator error.

I have 2 benellis and can't decide which one i like more.
