My M1 is taking on water in the butt stock and don't know where. I have taken the screw, where the sling goes, out a few times lately and a TON of water is coming out. Sometimes i will hunt in the rain and sometimes the gun will get in water, i do not abuse my gun. I have a concern that the water is sitting in the stock and it will damage the spring sooner than
it should. Took the gun to a local gunsmith and was told that
it is a design flaw and nothing can be done to keep the water
out. Can anyone please let me know if there is something that can me done to keep the gun from taking on water. Thanks in advance.
