I am looking at a 11703 with the fancy 4 rail forend for $1200. Only 50 rounds through it. That is pretty cheap to me. I would love to see some pics of the mod. There is a brand new 11707 near me for 1300 out the door. Which do you think is the better deal?

Does anyone have pics of their tube modification so that the collapsible stock will collapse on a 11703 or 1014? I ask because I have the opportunity to pick up an 11703 dirt cheap but I want to make sure the mod is not that difficult. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The Benelli was designed for the Marines and put into use by them. I am a Marine and we use it often. The stock collapses so that when you are wearing body armor and all of your gear you still have the proper cheek weld and length of stock. Think of all that gear as a stock extension. For those of us who do not use body armor, it works to shorten the overall length of the stock making it easier to do house clearing and movement without shortening the barrel and round capacity too much.
