  1. Does anyone have any tips/ideas as to how to get an SBEII to cycle 1 oz and /or 7/8 oz loads? I read that it needs to be "broken in" with 3 boxes of high brass...tried that...doesnt work. It still will not cycle light loads. It will primarily be used as a waterfowl gun, but I do occassionally shoot skeet with it. Thanks
  2. I just bought a surface drive boat/motor combo and would like to put a blind on it before teal season arrives. I could just buy the blind, but I would rather build one myself. With that said, does anyone have any suggestions, etc, as to what works best as far as design goes? I would like to have full coverage on both sides with some sort of flip top for the roof. Thanks in advance.
  3. I shoot alot of 3.5 inch shells at geese. Does a mercury reducer work that well? and exactly how does it work? Thanks

    Ear Plugs

Do any of you have any experience using the earplugs with a valve in them, that are suppose to let you hear normally until a loud noise such as a shotgun blast goes off; and then the valve closes? ( Not the electronic ones)
  5. I have never thought the way a gun fit you was a big deal until I joined this forum about a week ago. I rarely shoot clays, and mostly hunt ducks and geese. I purchased a SBEII last year and did not shoot nearly as well as I did with my 1100. I was always of the opinion that once you became familiar with how a gun shot, then you would shoot better. However, after reading some of your posts, I do believe that the little things can make all the difference in the world as to how good/bad you shoot. So my questions are: 1) How would I go about adjusting the drop and cast on my gun? (If I even need to), and 2) Does anyone know of a good gunsmith in/around Baton Rouge that I can go to to get my gun fitted to me? Thanks in advance
  6. I have been researching aftermarket recoil pads and choke tubes for my SBEII. I rarely shoot clay targets and duck and goose hunt as often as possible. With that said, is the limbsaver pad any better than the comfortech that comes on the SBEII? Also, would a pattern master choke tube improve my pattern? If not, is another pad/choke tube better than the two mentioned above? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
