Thanks - any suggestions on where I could buy the Comfortech furniture separately? Again, every dealer (five in total) that I've asked have claimed that the R1 Comfortech stock and forend aren't available for independent purchase...

Is is possible to buy an off-the-shelf - or retrofit an existing R1 in another caliber through barrel or stock/forend changes - into an R1 in .308 with Comfortech? According to the Benelli catalog, .308 only seems to be offered in walnut. I've asked several dealers about how to effect such a conversion, but can't seem to get a clear answer as to whether it's possible, and if not, why not. Thanks in advance for helping to clear-up my confusion!
