  1. Thanks, I did exactly that. The M2 is more compatible as far as internal parts. Springs and detents and whatnot, just as I expected.
  2. I’ve watched a lot of videos comparing the M2 to the M4, so Ive learned about the differences, but can’t figure out my specific question. I have a SBE 1 from 1999. I want to get a tactical SG and prefer to stick with Benelli. I have acquired several spare parts such as bolt rebuild kits and recoil springs for my SBE. And I have put a light rail/ sling mount ring from GG&G that I would like to transfer over to my dedicated tactical SG. Which of the two tactical models, M2 or M4, is most compatible with my SBE? I’d guess and say the M2 is because it is inertia driven like my SBE. The M4 is a gas operated system. So I’m leaning towards getting an M2 for compatibility and I already know how to disassemble, clean and work on it. The M2 has a nicer price point as well. What am I missing. Is the M4 just as compatible, if not more, with my SBE? Thanks
  3. Thanks for the reply and suggestions. I'll work those additional avenues. I know a sbe2 barrel will work because i currently use one. Will an M1 or M2 barrel fit my sbe? It doesn't look like it in the online photos. I know the bolts and carrier and other parts are interchangeable between sbe and M2.
  4. Wanting to buy a used barrel for my SBE. I know a sbe2 barrel will fit because I currently use one. I had to fit the forend grip a little, but it works flawless. Your barrel can be beat up, rusty, million rounds through it. Doesn't matter. Just not looking to spend $600 for a new barrel.
  5. I have a SBE that was made in 1999 according to the "BM" mark as described in this link. http://forums.benelliusa.com/showthread.php/15713-Date-Serial-Number-Lookup-for-Benelli-Shotguns My question is why does the bolt resemble everything I read for the SBE2 bolt? Are they in fact the same bolt assemblies? I'll be first to admit that what I have here is a good problem. I'm just curious as to why the Big Fat Bolt handle from Nordic Components fits even though it says it will only fit the M2 and SBE2. I bought a used SBE2 barrel and it fit as well except that the forend needed a tiny bit of interior plastic removal for the barrel/magazine lug to fit. One more question, if I wanted to make my black shotgun into a camo one could I just purchase SBE2 furniture? (Comfortech stock, barrel, forend, and mag cap) I know the receiver would still be black, but that's cool with me.
  6. Doesn't Surefire make a tactical lighted forend for the sbe and sbe2? I thought I've seen 'em before at impact guns or something, but now I don't.
  7. What is the threaded end on the choke tube wrench for? Is it to clean the choke threads?...It looks like it could even be used to re-tap them?
  8. I need to know because I can buy an original SBE barrel right now, but kinda want the benefits of the new crio barrel and crio chokes if it is possible.
  9. I need a new barrel for original sbe. Is that what you are selling, or does SBE2 barrel fit the SBE? What is shipping price to Houston?
  10. will sbe 2 barrel fit original sbe?
