  1. HDRDKG I took your advise and purchased the M4 on Friday. I ranged it today. I like it much better than the M1 (which I like a lot too). I'm getting ready to take a shotgun class at "Front Sight" in a few weeks and I'm going to put a magazine extention on it. I'm also looking for an optic.
  2. I've had a Benelli M1 tactical for a while and recently put an extended mag tube and a dedicated Surefire light on it. Then the problems began. At the range, I was getting regular FTFs and FTEs, especially with light target loads, so a friend gave me some Federal target loads that he had purchased from Walmart. The M1 would fire and eject but not cycle the next round into battery. I took off the Surefire light (I really needed it for a 4 day combat shoot at "Front Sight" training center in Nevada) and the shotgun began to function again, with one exception (and not all the time). When I load two rounds into the mag tube and I want to cycle the action to put a round into the chamber, the round always doesn't want to fire. A quick recharge (hopefully w/o the round falling onto the ground) the round will then fire.... I also let the bolt slam free when picking up a round from the magazine. This is a little unnerveing for a defensive shotgun and I'm wondering if I should go back to the original magazine tube, thereby eliminating this problem. Anythoughts on this would be greatly appreciated (or I could just go and buy a M-4 ) Thanks for your help and insite. RSJ PS, It was very reliable until I started messing with it... the Surefire wasn't cheap and I hope that there is a fix.
