If the citation to the ATF restriction by Benelli is correct, the simple solution to the problem would appear to be for Benelli to manufacture or license the manufacture of the collapsible stock in the U.S. The stocks would no longer be imported and would be built to Benelli standards. With the current exchange rate, it would probably be less expensive to manufacture the components here anyway. Benelli has designed some wonderful modular guns. Unfortunately, the company looses much of it's design advantage by failing to allow non LE & military customers to take advantage of the modular design. This is the only reason why I haven't yet purchased a Benelli shotgun.
