Uh, yeah, you are sorta stupid. Some high school drop out at Cabella's tells you "dude, the new barrel is coming soon!" then you buy the gun, and start to complain. Do you realize that BassPro, Cabella's, Ganders, Sportsmans, Academy, and the rest DO NOT care if they sell a gun? Low profit margins across the board. They have the guns there to make you go "ohh, ahh" and talk to the high school dropouts behind the counter about "my xxx is really great". They make their money on boots, shirts, waders, hats....anything that THEY make (or in reality, farm out to China) They make $10 on the gun they sell you (a little more, but hopefully, you get the picture, moron) What a moron. I'm sorry, I'm a nice guy, but you are a moron for buying a Benelli receiver and then complaining about a barrel not being ready. How 'bout shooting last year's gun this Fall and then buying the "whole gun" when Benelli releases the 'barrel you want' to the public sometime next year? Geez, and I thought the election primary season was bringing out the weirdos.

Ok, let's just focus on this: 2) SRM Performance Stainless Steel Cycling System: "increase the cycle rate of your inertia gun by 25%" www . surecycle . com (see product BNL-04) btw, it's $25 cheaper at Cabella's than at SRM. Go figure. Has anyone tried SRM's SS cycling system? Does it increase the cycle rate of an SBEII? I see folks chatting about their favorite brand of after market Chokes all the time. If you talk about non-Benelli chokes, people will write paragraphs about their patterning experiences and hunting successes, but bring up an internal Benelli part (that may or may not be honed to a finer degree than the fine folks at Benelli are capable of (or willing to at this price), and I see "if it ain't broke/corroded, don't mess with it". This SRM cycling system seems like a performance enhancing tool, just like your favorite brand of Choke. So the question is: Whadya think of SRM SS cycling system bars? Do they improve performance of the SBEII? I ask because I pride myself on pointing at a bird clearly, squeezing, then moving to the next bird, instead of machine gunning the sky like some of my friends. I'm wondering "if this cycling system can help my gun finish its cycling business, it may allow me to steady the gun for the next shot quicker and more accurately". Just looking to have more accurate shots by helping my gun shoot and settle quickly. Does anyone have experience with this after market component? Thanks!

On page 117 of Cabella's Waterfowling 2007 catalog there are two upgrades with Benelli and Benelli SBEII listed. Hi All, Have a new SBE II. Owners manual states the forearm should "click" when attached to the barrel. No such luck on mine. I've considered taking a hammer to it to make it click/stick (just kidding...). Anyway, it just won't attach to the barrel no matter how much pressure I put on it in any direction. Goes over the ring just fine. The back end, it looks at me and laughs. I CAN make the entire unit come together as one with minimal pressure, but is this correct? Will the forearm break off/fly off because it's not "sticking to the barrel" ?? Should it click and stick to the barrel like the manual says? Do I have a forearm/forend that's been molded just a little to tight? Should I call Benelli and ask for a new forearm/forend? Second question; when I bought the gun from BassPro Shop and asked why the barrel serial number stamping seemed brown and rusted, they said it was "dirt" and they all looked like that. I asked if it might have been stamped below the bluing level, hitting bare metal, and if it was rust which could become ugly in a couple of years, but they assured me that Benelli barrel serial numbers on the barrels appear brown before you clean them with oil. Is this correct? Thanks guys!!
