i was refering to the part in the buttstock i heard it called the slide assembly by someone. i guess it could be the return spring tube and equates to a buffer tube in an ar15. i was wondering if the tube that comes on an 11707 would allow a collapsible stock to collapse. thanks in advance.

i put a 11707 m4 on layaway and was wondering if it can use the collapsable stock without changing the slide assembly. also is there any difference between an 11707 bought in california?
