Which eotech if it isn't the 552? Also... are there any cheek weld problems using one?

Thinking about getting a Eotech 552. Is that the right one for me? I'm going to use it with a Benelli M4, and I want to AA battery version. I was also wondering if I need a mount of any kind for it.

Oooh. Any pics of a full tube vs an extension? If it's not that big a difference in appearance, I'll just go for the extension.

Ya... settled on buying a one piece Dewey rod. But... there's a 34" and a 26" option. Which one should I get for the Benelli M4?

Why are full length tubes so much better than extensions?

Just got a new M4! Going to post pictures up one of these days. Time to buy some accessories! Which +2 Extension should I get? Link preferred. Which Dewey rod would work best with the M4? I've never owned a Dewey rod before, but look forward to one after hearing great things about the quality.

Does the bore snake and the cleaning rod do two separate things? Sorry for the stupid newbie question, but I'm really really new to this lol.

Hmm... well I've called 10+ gun shops already. None of them have any, but they all have some on order. Does Benelli release the M4 in batches? Nobody seems to have any clue as to when they'll come in.

How much did you pay for it?

The reason I'm tempted to stick with this shop is because they gave me an offer of $1400 plus shipping. The wait shouldn't take longer than a month, right?

Woah... I know FFL fees are generally only like 15 bucks around here. We're talking about the transfer fee, right? And I thought you only had to pay the tax if it was shipped/sold in the same state.

Yikes. I've never been to a gun show before, but apparently they're not worth going to if they're 200 bucks more expensive than gunbroker. O_O

Has anyone seen any Benelli M4s at any gun shows lately? What're the prices at for those places?

Yowza! Supply and Demand is generally the reason... just surprised that the demand shot way up recently it seems. I remember when people complained that they were getting too expensive around $1300 because Benelli was focusing on making the M4s for the US Military which is fine with me... but now I think the demand by the US military has decreased yet gun availability to civilians/cost have gone up sporadically.

Hey all, I don't know if it's just a fluke or not, but the Black Benelli M4s seem to be going for about $1500 on gunbroker. Usually GB is cheaper than online gun sites, but now they're about even. I could have sworn that several months ago, they were obtainable for $1400 easily, and less than a year ago, they were going for $1200 on Gunbroker. What gives? I hadn't planned on getting the money ready for one until Christmas time... but should I be in panic mode and grab one now before the price shoots up more?
