  1. Alright, thanks guys, im kinda finding it funny though that no one likes the stoeger at all, my uncle's the M2000 got one and he loves it, never had an issue with it, i personally like it, low recoild, good feel, but maybe he just got lucky with it, ive also heard bad things about the new 870, i heard they rust real easily but once again, i could be wrong, ill probably end up goin with the nova, i love the feel and the slide, thanks again

  2. Hey, im lookin into gettin a Benelli Nova 12ga. with atleast a 26" barrel.... id prefer it in camo but i wouldnt mind black..... im also lookin into a stoeger 2000 with the same criteria..... if anyone's got some useful info for me thatd be great, at my local dick's the nova in camo is $439 and the stoeger 2000 is $500 in camo, this is a little expensive for me but i may gotta settle for that if i cant find anythin cheaper, if anyone knows any other places to look thatd be awesome, also im curious about online stores like impactguns, ablesammo, gunsamerica, and gunbroker, any help would be appreciated. thanks

  3. Shotguns R Us

Saw an ad recently at Cabela's (maybe Bass Pro) for a matte finish synthetic 1187 Sportsman model, for $550.

You can get them used off gunbroker.com for probably $400 or less. That's how I got my daughter's 1100. Its still going strong.

In fact, last night she texted me..at her first trap team practice of the school year, all the western Kansas country boys on the team were a little miffed that the city-girl pincess whupped them.

    Tim

ok thanks, do you know the difference between the 1100 and the 1187?

  4. Finally someone supporting 1187's being badass guns...as ive said I went through 5 hunting seasons wiht my 1187sps the gun has fired and worked perfectly in freezing weather, snow, and rain. As far as the rust goes, it never did maybe its because after the field i properly clean and store my firearm. I know alot of people say the new ones rust, maybe they do, this gun is about 6 years old maybe the coating was different. I use a SBII now but cant part with this 1187 I wont sell it.

I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST 1187s its just that they cost so @#$& much, well....... at least for me

  5. In the Benelli inertia system

    (1) the shell is fired and recoil begins,

    (2) the gun backs up in recoil

    (3) while heavy bolt carrier, due to its inertia,

    remains momentarily in place.

    (4) The bolt head is locked into the barrel by a rotating cam recoils with the gun, and backs into the momentarily motionless bolt carrier.

    (5) This action compresses a heavy spring between the bolt and the bolt carrier.

    (6) When the bolt carrier begins to move the compressed spring propels it backwards towards the butt of the shotgun,

    (7) The bolt carrier compresses the recoil spring,

    (8) while extracting and ejecting the fired shell

    (9) then the recoil spring sends the bolt carrier and bolt forward again,

    (10) lifting the next shell into position to be fed into the chamber,

    (12) their inertia drive the new shell fully into the chamber and the bolt head stops moving forward

(13)the bolt carrier body continuing forward, due to its remaining inertia, rotates the bolt about its long axis by the cam, turning the locking lugs into engagement with the barrel/barrel extension.

I forgot to mention that the hammer was cocked and the trigger reset during the extraction, ejection part of this movie.

Too much weight on the gun, which has to move sharply to compress the spring between the bolt and the bolt carrier, retard the velocity enough to prevent the heavy spring to be compressed sufficiently to store enough energy to propel it back and do all that I described above after the compression.

    Does this describe it well?

    Just a bit

anyway, do you know what is good about this compared to a gas or whats good about a gas compared to this iif you do please lemme know thanks

  6. yeah, the cz shotgun is called a 712 autoloader i think, I saw a new one on gunsamerica.com for $350 new in box. gas operated, not inertia driven but hey, an autoloaders and autoloader! also would you use a nova for clays/ the guy at dicks says pumps arent so good for clays cuz u have to reset yourself everytime you shoot because of the pumping action

  7. Has anyone heard of anything about charles daly or cz shotguns? both have autoloaders unde $400 but im not too sure since, from what i know, neither are huge companies like benelli, stoeger, mossberg, or remmington

  8. What would Remington have changed so much to the point of where they are rusting more now than they were 10-15 years ago?

I've heard they've changed their rust resisting whatever from a liquid to a powder kind of thing but im not 100% sure

  9. Autos(good autos) are hard to come by at that price. You can get a OK O/U or a nice pump for that price range.

Did you say this is your first gun? I don't remember. Nova's are great guns. They come in Nova or Supernova and there are tons of ways you can get them. What are you using the gun for? I have 2 Novas and a super nova and I use them just for hunting. They are tanks.

For clays I use my remmington spr O/U. Ok gun but I seem to shoot it pretty well.

Good luck and let us know what you get.

    Novaking

im mainly gonna use the gun for clay shooting, and i have a little mossberg .22 which i love :D, i do like the nova but its a little steep on the price for a pump, i know its pretty much the best of the best, but as i said i have a $400 limit. also I do like the new remmington semis and o/u just not the pump

  10. best is a tricky word. my wifes Fausti o/u is a very nice little shot gun. i paid $399.00 for it a couple of years ago @ wal-mart. was looking on gunbroker a few days ago and could not find one for less than $800.00. mossberg silver reserves are nice but they run around $600.00. C/D o/us run around $500.00 and up. are you wanting a o/u or would an auto work? Charles Daly auto,s run about $280.00. i have one that i love. i will warn you though, they kick like a mule till you get them broke in. i have a pic of mine in the Franchi forum under "my babies".

An auto is what im really looking for, i really like the stoeger 2000 especially because of the inertia driven system, I've never really heard of charle Day and I'm not sure if I want to buy something that I don't know a whole lot about........

  11. I'm looking for my first 12 ga. shotgun under $400. It'll be mostly used for clays and MAYBE hunting. I like the benelli stf 3000 o/u, but I also like the stoeger 2000 which is a little more than the stf 3000. If there are other shotguns that I might want to look into please lemme know.

  12. I saw this gun at dicks for $350.00. Its made by Stoeger but Benelli took credit for it i guess. It will be mainly for clays. If any one has any info please lemme know. Thanks

  13. I was wondering if anyone has heard of the Benelli stf 3000 o/u shotgun and if its any good. Its made by Stoeger but Benelli has it listed under their name,in my local dicks catalog. Its goin for $350.00 and it would be used for mostly clay shooting. Also are o/u any good for hunting? As I said it will be used 99.9% for clay shooting but who knows i might start hunting if I really want to:D.
