What do they consider "heavy loads" and how many to reach smoothness?

Just 2 3/4" 4 shot loads. Nothing particularly heavy. It'll starting seeing slugs come 3-gun season. The thing about the video, is that I'm not sure I did that the first time. I'm thinking I just closed the bolt from the locked open position. So this should go away once it's broken in? I've only put probably 3 or 4 boxes of 8 shot and a box of 4 shot through it.

So I just got an M2 and took it on a week-long pheasant trip the next day. I did have an issue where the bolt didn't go completely into battery. I tried to fire on a bird. The firing pin released but it didn't strike the primer. I've attached a link to a video I put on youtube. Is this something that will just wear itself in? Does anyone know the specifics of what he uses? I know it's Federal, but what about length and shot size?

Just picked up an M2 today. Took it to the range and can only fit 2 in the mag. Took it apart and there is a Benelli plug in the back. Is this removable? If so, does the spring just rest against the retaining cap? Or is there something that I'm supposed to replace it with?
