  1. Shotguns have been used for home defense for over a hundred years. The M-1897 Trench shotgun was widely used in WWI and designed to accept a 14" bayonet. Don't tell me about killing young man. Until you have killed, you have nothing to say to me. I see every face when I close my eyes. I have NO regrets. I'm alive. Excessive force and shooting someone in the back will get you into jail. I've read the Castle Doctrine, my State Laws and talked with my lawyer at length concerning home security and defense. I and my wife are disabled. Do you actually think I'll go to jail for permanently stopping some punk in my home? Think about your answer before you insert your foot. Most of you are correct, this web site is not for me. Your hunters of wild game, target shooters and maybe competition shooters. Most of you have no real-life firearm experience, law enforement experience, Military experience nor experience in other weapon systems. And young man, ALL weapons are designed for killing. Just depends what you kill. Good luck to you all.
  2. I sugest all of you read the Castle Doctrine and any Amendments added to it. Also study your State laws on home invasion, forced entry, etc. I have. Name me any person that has been sentenced to jail for defending his home with a legal weapon. In the news recently, a man who walked to the end of his driveway and killed a 17 year old by shooting him in the face and didn't get one day. Oh yes, his handgun was illegal also. You do not have to retreat and baracade yourself. If you cannot take a mans life, I sugest you take up knitting because your wasting your money with firearm protection. Use a shotgun and be sure he is dead because if he lives, you will be sued in civil court for hurting him. If using a handgun, empty the mag and slap a new one in. If using a shotgun, fire 3 shots and if the body twitches, fire a couple more. When Police arrive, NEVER talk to the Police. Tell them your waiting on your lawyer. Why? "ANYTHING you say can and WILL be used AGAINST you in a court of law." All home invasion crimes go before the Grand Jury to decide if you are tried in Court. I've never seen anyone go to trial for home invasion protection. I have a loaded firearm in every room of my home and a few knives scattered about as well. I have a Concealed Carry Permit and carry virtually 24/7. Not all of us live in crime free areas. Part 1 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=i8z7NC5sgik part 2 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=08fZQWjDVKE
  3. I think I've seen that photo before on another firearm site. It's a second basement that has a secret entrance vault door. Crossman 2100 The best guns I own are the ones I don't own.

    benelli recoil

Let's take 2 weapons of the same .50 calibre BMG. The standard M2 .50 Cal machine gun is very heavy. If I remember correctly, it weighs about 85 lbs. minus the T&E unit. Have you ever shot one? Do you think you could single fire at the shoulder the M2 without damaging your shoulder. Of course we will use C10250 version of recoil meaning velocity kick back. Needless to say, it has tremendous velocity kick back due to its use of the velocity kick back on the buffer spring to compress and release the energy forward to force the carrier forward to strip a round from the belt for chambering. So its heavy weight doesn't help much. Now take the Barret Light fifty. Weighs 26 lbs. and you can shoulder fire it all day long. I have. The velocity kick back should be worse according to you because the barret is lighter. Same type round. The difference is how the velocity kick back is absorbed by the fuctions of the carrier sliding back, bolt disengagement from lugs, carrier sliding back, buffer spring compression and release of energy to strip a round from the magazine into the chamber. Yes, these are 2 extreme examples. Better yet, take any .50 BMG semi auto on the market today and and you will find they are heavier and the velocity kick back is more than the Barret. How about any Benelli compared to the USAS-12 or even the AA-12? Even if weight is the same, velocity kick back is less. How about the HK-91 and M1A? I have owned both and the M1A is lighter but velocity kick back is less. Other than the M16/AR15, name me a heavier 5.56 weapon you would put against your crotch and pull the trigger. HK93? No way. FAMAS? Nope. Styer AUG? Nyet. Valmet? Nine. Yes, as a Drill Seargent in the Army, that was part of my demonstration to the recruits. After shooting virtually every modern semi auto and full auto in various calibres on the planet, lighter weapon does not mean more velocity kick back into the shoulder. Nuff of this post.

    benelli recoil

This "inertia driven" stuff is a fancy name for recoil operated. Inertia spring, buffer spring, recoil spring...all the same but different names. Maybe I'm to old and just call things as I see'em.
  6. If you look up photos about the British SAS retaking an embassy, You will see one guy at a window (Mr. Singleton) and another guy behind him. You will see the Benelli. On You Tube, you can see Military personell and others practicing with the Benelli.

    benelli recoil

I'm sorry gentlmen, your mistaken. Weight has nothing to do with recoil. It has to do with recoil distribution. Take the M16 and USAS-12 which I have owned and the light weight doesn't compare at all with recoil. Now take the M14 and M1 Garrand with heavy weight and the recoil is more noticable. Cartridge size doesn't matter either. It's all in how the recoil is distributed with bolt, travel distance, spring loading, mechanical operations, etc.
  9. All these Bills authorize that future ammunition after a specific date is to be ENCODED. The bullet will have numbers coded on it. I went through every State and read every Bill proposed. Alabama-Nothing Arizona-Coded Ammo (C.A.) California-Nothing Connetecticut-C.A. Hawaii-C.A. Illinois-C.A. Indiana-C.A. Kentucky-C.A. Maryland-C.A. Mississippi-C.A. Missouri-C.A. New Jersey-C.A New York-C.A. Pennsylvania-C.A. Rhode Island-C.A. South Carolina-C.A. Tenessee-Nothing Washington-C.A. A couple of these States mention that if you have UNCODED ammunition after a certain date, you are in violation of the law. NONE of these laws ban ammunition, slows production, restricts volume purchases or requires a special permit. States have been requesting Coded ammunition for over a decade. I don't know of any State that has actually passed the Encoding Law. The only people to blame for nonsense or restrictive laws are the people who do not get involved and people who vote for candidates that are anti-gun or anti-2nd Amendment. These are the people I hold deep resentment boiling in the direction of hate which equels total revulsion toward. Every gun owner needs to look at only one position of each candidate and only one position. Is the candidate pro or anti gun? The rest of their postions (taxes, roads, education, unions, foreign relations, etc.) mean nothing in the grand scheme of firearm ownership. If you do not, you reap what you have sown. Have a nice day.
