I would love to change my m4 rail for that reason alone and install Carriercomp's rail instead.

Then i would gladly put my Eotech on it with no fear of breaking something.

Kip,if you decide to produce this item when your inventory as stabilized,i would definetly purchase those rail for my weapon.

P.S. Duggan,i was so impressed and happy about your thread that i forgot to thank you for that brilliant explanation of the problem when i wrote this post.Great job with all the pictures and detailed explanations.

  2. :mad:I ordered my Benelli Supernova Tactical on Nov-15-08 and was told it would be 6-8weeks. Well week 8 comes up saturday so I called my Dealer and they called benelli. Its going to be another 1-2 MONTHS. Is this the type of ******** I should always expect from Benelli? Or do the italians just work when they feel like it?

This is a first for me to hear that type of delay at this time from benelli.

There's another possibility for the long delay.maybe the dealer is on some kind of grey list with benelli or something. All gun manufacturers have a list of prefered dealers and another for less prefered dealers.

Maybe you ought to try another dealer.

  3. Starting to get caught up after the Holidays, things should level out after we return from the Shot show on the 18th. Two good links for those who've been asking...

Cliff, could you please post in this thread when you recieve your shipment of tubes due to arrive soon.

Also, could i make a suggestion about the site,it would be a great help if we could see if the items i want to buy are in stock, arriving soon, backorder, discontinued, etc

It would be more efficient for you this way too as you wouldnt have to answer these questions and in the long run will save you time and money.

Thanks, keep up the great work you're doing.

  4. Just picked up a new M4 - when I opened the box to go through it I noticed the bolt group was in an opened bubble wrap manila envelope - not what i would expect straight from the Benelli factory - anyhow when i examined it closer i noticed the link looked a little worn - also no chokes in the box - in the process of contacting the original dealer now, but does this seem normal (the link seemingly being worn)? - did i get a used bolt group? - or is some wear and tear normal bec. the gun was test fired at the factory?

I got mine just like mentionned above except i had a choke which was already installed in the barrel, probably more convenient that way for them or for some other reason.

It had a little wear on the slide but only from firing at the factory for test firing.

  5. 5) - Do not overpush. Your thumb should never enter the tube. This is where the problem comes from ... if your thumb face is perpendicular to the receiver, this cannot happen. Your thumb will hit the receiver and prevent it from happening. Keep in mind that in this position, the end of the lifter is now resting on the tip of your thumb.

    thumb05small.jpg

    6) - Pull your thumb away clean for another shell, letting the lifter down that was previously resting on the tip of your thumb. With this method, the lifter has no chance of crushing your nail/joint when you pull out, as your thumb was never in the tube to begin with.

The video showing this technique is here:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3mrctz0SSI

Now, this technique can be altered to allow you to hold multiple shells in your hand for faster loading, but the principle remains the same.

Keep your thumb rigid, straight, and perpendicular to the receiver. Move your hand as a solid motion, don't bend your thumb at it's lowest joint. Stop pushing once the shell is into the tube, as you do not want your thumb entering the tube.

I hope this helps people out, and that this thread can be referrenced for people who complain of sore thumbs due to improper loading tongue.gif

  6. Springs now available and in stock for immediate delivery. PAYPAL has walked the plank. Our new secure online store will accept VISA and MC for convenient order processing.

    www.shop.carriercomp.com

Thanks to everyone who's suggestions have help mold the storefront and product successes... especially the deprived Canadians!:D:D(both of them)

LOL Thanks Kip and i bet i'll have that tube and a couple spare springs in the mail before the end of this month.

Thanks for your devotion towards your customer,it's greatly appreciated and i'll make sure that on my side of the border, owners of m4 will know about your company and what a great job your doing.

  7. Got it. If I understand correctly, UPS is NOT an option for Canadians, and USPS errors when the appropriate destination code is entered....

    Correct!

If that is an accurate account, I'll approach the CS dept for a resolution on my next call. Also curious; Is this just your experience, or does it seem to be a prevalent grievance among Canadian consumers????

I think it's the same for all canadians,we dont seem to be able to choose our own carrier, when we choose USPS,we dont have any choice but to bear with canadian post because once the package arrives at the border,Canada post takes charge of it till it reaches destination in Canada. And right now it's a pain in the *** because Canada post employees are using desruptive tactics to force the government to accept their conditions and demands, this means our packages gets lost our become uterly late.

    Can you do purolator ?

  8. Thanks for your prompt action! I wish all vendors were as accomodating:D I'm having a problem choosing a shipping method though, I am getting an error "Please enter a valid ZIP Code for the recipient" in the shipping method screen.

I'm having the same problem as ejts,if we leave a space in the postal code it goes to the next step which we arent able to chose the carrier because of an unknown reason but if we write with no space in between,it really creates an error and we cant go past that screen.

Just a guess here... If you're a Canadian resident, I think you have to specify UPS rather than USPO for delivery, if that matches your selection, then either you have a recently updated postal code that UPS does not recognize, or I'm out of guesses. One thing I am positive about, is either that answer was helpful, or it was way off base on several or all counts... but I'm trying.

I have never been able to order from the states in the past and have UPS deliver my merchandise.I'm clueless as to why but have always been given USPS as the only means of delivery from the states, their must be a reason why and i think it has to do with the fact only USPS as a contract with the canadian post to deliver their mail here and vice versa.I've heard that in the past but i'm just guessing here.

It would be nice for those that want to pay extra to have the ability to choose AIR SHIPPING from a carrier like Purolator,They never failed me in 24 years.

Have you looked into that possibility Kip?

One other thing I have seen in some shipping calculators, is the required use of a "-" between the main code and suffix when used. Just a space will error.

if we write with no space in between or with a - ,it really creates an error and we cant go past that screen.

The furthest i can go with my order is when i write my postal code like this:

    A1A 1A1

    this creates an immediate error:

    A1A-1A1

Thanks for the quick adjustment Kip and i'm sure you'll solve the problem soon.

  9. The only restrictions for AR's in Canada is that they have to have a mag pinned to only hold 5 rounds and of course, semi-auto only.

O yes,i forgot that little detail:)over here in Canada we have to pin our mags at 5 rounds for riffles. They're are a few exception that are considered like pistols, those can have a mags holding 10 rounds.

The maximum capacity for pistols is 10 rounds in Canada.

    Thanks for the refresh ejts

  10. I do recall that conversation, and while I do honor verbal commitments, I must humbly ask... Can anyone direct me to a definitive guideline that states the legality of firearms component commerce/trade between Canada and the U.S.?? Any help would be appreciated. I have seen similar inquiries, that never found a "hard" link to the letter of the law.

I dont think you'll have problems as i have already buy extensions from 2 other online stores and they shipped and i recieved the merchandises no problem at all.

I also bought numerous barrels over in the states and have them shipped here, again no problem.

If it's not a banned weapon per say in canada, you wont have any problem exporting it to our side.

And the M4 is available in Canada since being offered to the public a couple years back so the weapon is not a banned weapon in canada so no problem.

And we can buy shotguns that shoot upwards of 9 rounds legally

  11. Hi Kip,

Do you ship to Canada? I tried placing an order but I am not able to find an option for it.

    Earl

Kip told me that he would ship to us canadians and that their would be no problem. We just have to wait i guess for the site to be up and running meaning accepting orders.

I think he's gonna fix the fact that canada and the provinces are not included in the order form, that would be nice for us to order without having to send PM each time we want to order something, just a thought!
