  1. Install went fine. Function is outstanding. I did a 4-day shotgun class this weekend, shooting hundreds of rounds, multiple malfunction drills, etc. The oversized Bolt Release worked flawlessly and I am glad I had it. Notes on the install (written in plain English for stupid people like me who don't know that much about the M4): 1) As stated by others, look at the location of the spring before you start so that you know how to re-install. 2) Before starting, note that the Roll Pin does NOT reach fully from the bottom hole to the top hole. It sits approx flush with the bottom hole, then is secure on "top" by another hole that is difficult to see. The top most hole is to allow insertion/removal of your punch an the pin, it is NOT to secure the pin. This cost me an extra 15 minutes, but total install only took 45 min. If I had to do it again, it would take 15 min. 3) No fancy mechanics tools needed, other than the correct size punch. I got a small punch kit from Home Depot for $8. here is the link: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xh0/R-100507476/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 Thanks to everyone here who gave advice.
  2. Thanks Hookster. Those links give me all the info I need. Wish me luck
  3. Duggan, any other words of wisdom/advice other than what strangerdanger had to say? Mine arrived today, install tomorrow, 4 day shotgun class starts Friday, so I have to get the install right!
  4. GG&G website lists this part as good for the M2
  5. Thanks guys. I thought it was good for the M4, but when I called GG&G last week to order one, the lady on the phone said it did NOT fit the M4!
  6. Does anyone know if the GG&G Bolt Release Pad will work on an M4? On their website it doesn't list the M4. http://www.gggaz.com/index.php?id=83&parents=60,63 Thanks,
  7. Thanks Texas.. Good on the dis assembly. Any tricks for seating the trigger group on re-assembly so that it lines up perfectly with the Axle bush pin? Seems like it must not be lined up perfectly because it is hard to push the pin back in, and I don't want to force it.
  8. Does anyone know if the Trigger Group from the M4 can be removed without any other disassembly in order to remove the stock? Thanks in advance.
  9. Does anyone have their M4 with Fixed PG Stock set up with a Single Point Slig? If so, what adapter/mount/etc. are you using? Can you post pics? Thanks
  10. ER, Do you think the problem with cycling light loads has anything to do with the shortertening of your stock? Do you have a standard stock available to put on the M4 and test?

  12. Hi all. New to shotguns, and especially new to chokes. I have a new M4 and purchased a Cylinder and Imp. Cylinder choke from Trulock. I plan on doing some sighting in with slugs this weekend. Are there any words of wisdom for removing the factory Mod. Choke and installing one of the Truluck chokes? Do you use any type of lubrication or grease when installing a choke? Thanks for your help!
  13. The M4 is brand new for me. I am tring to solve 2 "problems": 1) I need a much smaller length of pull than the standard stock 2) I would like to attach a single point end plate adapter. With regards to item 2, I understand no aftermarket plate, or stock, will fit the M4 With regardes to the LOP, I may get a gunsmith to cut down the original stock, if possible. I know I can purchase a replacement for $200 if I screw it up. Last resort would be the collapsible stock, but I am not sure I want to put the big $$$ down now, until I try other avenues. I understand the going price is about $800. Thanks for your help!
  14. I would love a collapsible stock, but haven't been able to find a way to get my hands on one. Also, can anyone confirm that there is a single point end plate that would work with the collapsible stock. I would think that the collapsible stock attaches just like the standard stock, and would not be compatible with an endplate.
