  1. Again, I'm sticking to my original staement. 600 straight is the result of hundreds of hours of practice - not any particular brand of shotgun. Fit is all important, and the higher end guns can be adjustable to assure perfect fit, but the most important factor is talent and/or natural ability. Someone who shoots 600 straight could probably take a Stoeger and shoot 600 straight, but I couldn't take one of their Perrazzi's and do the same.
  2. It is a lot of fun to show up the loud snobs with the $20,000 target guns. Fancy wood, engraving and gold inlays don't make you a better shooter. If I could afford the gold and engraving, I'd have it too, but I know I can still be beat with a well worn 870 Wingmaster. I don't begrudge anyone who can buy a nice shotgun, I was fondling and drooling on a Beretta grade 4 Silver Pigeon last night, more of a piece of art then a shotgun, but it won't make up for poor shooting. As the old saying goes, "Beware the man with only one shotgun - he probably knows how to use it."
  3. Shoulder was fine. Used Win AA Lites.
  4. My wife and I went to a very upscale local trap, skeet and sporting clays club last weekend for an afternoon of fun. After loading up the golf cart, we got in line to start the 100 target course. By the fifth station, we were bottled up with a bunch of other shooters waiting our turn, and the conversation naturally turned to favorite shotguns. When I mentioned that I was shooting the Coach Gun, eyebrows started to lift, and for the rest of the course I had everyones attention. I finished with an 82 out of 100, not much worse than I usually do with my Ruger Red Label, and everyone wanted to try it. The Coach Gun was a big hit, and everyone had a lot of fun.
