Thanks for the info. That gives me a good idea on the pattern. I wonder why half the loads are lost as flyers. Is this a normal thing? Any ideas on the effective range of both loads. Thanks

I have a 12 gage Nova Pump tactical with an 18 1/2 inch barrel. I have been shooting No. 8 Remington game/upland bird loads and Winchester low recoil "featherweight" 00 buckshot. Can anyone give me an idea of the aprox. effective range and width of pattern to expect at that range with these loads. Also, what pattern to expect at aprox. 12 yards. Thanks

I have recently purchased a 12 gage Nova pump tactical defece with 18.5 inch barrel and gost sights. I must say I am very pleased with it and seem to have become a Benelli fan. My question is can the short barrel be temporarily changed out with a longer slug and ribbed barrel for hunting purposes. Can this be done while maintaining the gost ring sighting system. Thanks
