Thanks for the input guys! On the truck. Its not even close to a necessity, just a nicety I guess. I would like a second vehicle that gets better fuel mileage and more useful than the full size SUV....... The thing that concerned me the most on the study was the ATF was considering "advetising" I believe is what they said. Or maybe marketing. Either way the M4 is marketed strictly as a combat/defense weapon. I fearthat it may fall victim to a "compromise" between the leftist and right if it come to some sort of negotiation. On top of that, Eric Holder has the final say and I dont trust him any more than I trust my mother-in-law.......... I think I may bite the bullet and scoop uo the M4. It doesnt seem like to bad a deal. The lowest I see new ones on guns America is 1695. They said they would come down on their askin price of $1699 but not much. I just have the bug for an M4 and I need to smash it. With my luck, if I wait, it will be banned........

I've read through some of it and it's very ambiguous to say the least....... One section gives you a feeling that nothing will change and another section will mare you want to run out and buy an M4..... I'm asking because I know where a new M4 is and they said they wouldcome off the 1699 they are askin for it. Ive been searching for a decent 4x4 truck but haven't had any luck. I ran across the M4 and I've been drooling over it ever since. Last ear I tried to trade of a semi custom savage rifle for one but had no takers. I've been wanting a combat shotgun for awhile with the M4 at the top of my list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So what say y'all?!?!?!! Should I buy the M4 with the possibility of the ATF banning it's import or is it lretty safe to say they will be continually imported and go on looking for a decent truck???????

I have a SWEET piece that I'm considering finding a new home. The rifle started life as a Savage Model 12FVSS. That a short action, heavy barrel, stainless fluted model, resting in a synthetic stock. It's chambered in .270 WSM. I bought it thinking of getting into some long range shooting comps, long range paper punching, and hunting. It IS an Accu-Trigger model. I dumped the factory stock(well i took it off, i still have it), and replaced it with a McMillan A3. Words cannot describe this stock! If you've never handled a McMillan stock, just WOW!! I mounted a Weave Classic V 6-24x44AO on it. Mil-Dot reticle. The rings are Burris Tactical units. Base is EGW one piece, 0 MOA. VERY BEEFY SETUP!!! Gun has been fired maybe 30 times. It will flat out shoot!!! Three shoots at 200yrd were within 1.5"...... I'm not the best marksman and wasn't letting the barrel cool between shots bang-bang-bang deal. This was factory ammo (i believe cheap ol Remmy corelokt) from a bench. It can do MUCH better. I can't put a guarantee on it or anything but consistent MOA would be child's play for this rifle, maybe even 1/2 MOA. I also have a set of Hornady New Dimension Dies that were never used in .270 WSM i'll toss in. I'll post pics if there is any interest. What I'm looking for: Tactical shotgun: Benelli M4. I have a VERY generous offer for an M1S90 that I'm considering heavily! Would like to find an M4 that I could work out a deal "face to face" with. I'm located in western West Virginia but will make a short road trip if someone is close enough and willing to trade! Thanks for the looks and I hope my post count is high enough to post pics.
