  1. Looks like a keeper, but I think I'll see what a SCAR 17 will go for when it comes out. LWRC seems to be getting better and better every year with their offerings.

Oh, yea that SCAR is sweet.... read about it in one of the latest issues of the Rifleman magazine.... FN makes some good stuff!

  2. Hey SD,

The OBR is on the list too, I've been hitting all the gunshows lately hoping to come across the REPE, OBR and LMT so I can handle a them and see what I think but haven't had any luck thus far on that front (not that I haven't been finding other stuff to buy )

As far as CA legality, Yup.... They need to have a "bullet button" type set up or non-detachable mag :(

That's one good thing about M1As. They get around that law since they don't have a pistol grip stock, "evil features" etc

    Later,

    Hookster

Hey Hookie, I was actually thinking of putting a Monster man on this to get around that "evil feature"... not that its hard to swap out grips... might be handy to have laying around... for the other M4's I have.....hmmmm

  3. 10 days??! But, I'm angry now!

    Hookster,

Look into the LaRue OBR. Nicest 308 platform I handled at the SHOT Show. I'm not a LaRue fanboy. Of all of them, it felt the lightest. The LMT MRP 308 was a heavy boat anchor, and it was stripped on display.

The action of the OBR was perfect. It felt like it operated on ball bearings. Plus, guys are dinging plates at a mile with them!

How are you guys buying these evil rifles in California? Do you have to use that tool detach mag release?

    LOL....

Stranger Danger... all that is required for changing out the mag release is a small flat blade screw driver... Its a 15 second operation!

I looked at the leRue and I kept coming back to LWRC... But they are both top notch stuff!

  4. did they name that facility "Cow Palace" after Nancy Pelowsi??

    LMAO

Nice 7.62's guys... Im in the market for a trooper/loaded as well....

Obama bent me over though, so wating for the I R S to finish with me so I can go buy more guns to support our great countries economy :)

  5. I dont have snap ring plyers either, I used a narrow pair of needle nose that worked just dandy! That ring isnt set ilke a normal snap ring that fits in a groove, it basically compresses in to the tube...

    Easy as pie!

  6. Good work.

thanks, this was WAY easier than I thought... the second time.... the first one I did, ( the top of the pic ) took about 1/2 an hour... Only because i was a bit sceptical of heating the tube and the receiver too fast... the second one took a grand total of 10 minutes to strip down the weapon, remove everything, install the tube and get her all put back together.... good times!

  7. you boys need some pics?????,,whats this two for the price of one????

    seen em..... they are gorgeous....

almost too good looking.. should be behind glass M1014!

Sometimes when the wife aint around, I search for them in this board....

Off to Ice the hand LMAO....

i was just thinking... these thing are now worth abot 220 bucks a pound... got Kobi Beef Licked!

picking up Kimber #2 on tuesday... Raptor II SS 5in.

    WHOO WHOOOOOOO

My way of "stimulating" the economy of KRAZIFORNIA!

  9. You are 100% correct Skeet.... Truth be told, I havent got the second tube on yet... Burnt the sh!t out of my hand unscrewing the first one

But when this burn gel and the lidocaine kick in, Ill be back to the bench!

On a side note... good god, did Benelli really need 5 fluid ounces of locktite on the damn tube for fear it would unscrew????

    REALLY??????

    Pictures in the morning, Promise!

  10. I got my Tubes from Kip Today ! ! ! :D They installed with out a hitch... Oh the Twins look so purdy now!!!

Thanks all you guys for introducing me to all the tacticool for the M4.... Cant wait to go givem a test drive!

  11. well in the email that I was sent, he states that he will be shipping to those who have ordered, who's orders were canceled, to re-order and you keep yourplace in line, and they should ship within 7 days.... I hope that is the case, ive been foaming at the croch for these tubes for almost 3 months ! ! ! !

    Yea I said Croch!

  12. He did the same thing last year when I ordered mine. The credit card authorization expires after 30 days. Kip cancels the original order and has you resubmit payment data prior to shipment. The cancellations do not effect your place in line. The tube does arrive "eventually" and in my mind it was worth the wait. I will order his other products when he announces them...and patiently wait for those as well.

Good things come to those who wait.

Ai Ai... I too shall be in line once again... Hope he is ready!

  13. I jsut want the damn tubes i ordered in December... Got an email over the weekend that the order was cancled, then another the following day that if I wanted them, i would have to place another order....

BAH.... Never the less, I reordeered them...

  14. aint gonna lie!! quit smoking 6 months ago and food tastes ALOT BETTER now!!:D ive put on 20 pounds and next is the gym/diet!!;) but who gives a sh-t about my gut, BUY MY DAMN GUN!!!!

Hate that, ive quit lots of times, and that happens too....

Skeet, I dont need a 3rd m4.... what i do need is more Kimbers... damn nice stuff!
