I got the 3 dram but is the 1 1/8 load referring to the shot or oz shot? I believe the load. Do I need to worry about the OZ SHot?

What shells should I run through first 3" mags? Then after that say a couple of hundred.... what should I shoot skeet with 2 1/2 or 1 1/8 oz? I'm getting a little confused when it comes to the shot oz. shot size and diam. I guess I would be ok to just shoot 3-dram, 1-1/8-oz for skeet?
