You’ll need this version of the IWC mount. The only difference is that it has a picatinny rail section that attached to the mount. Then you would attach the x400 to the picatinny rail section. The light/laser will be canted slightly, so your x and y adjustments for the laser are going to be off. You’ll have to adjust both of them in order to dial in a zero. This isn’t too hard, I use two wrenches at one time and adjust them both at the same time.

Now I would likely consider a tape switch for activation this light. Those toggle switches on the back of the x400 are going to hurt under recoil. I’d mount the light on the ejection port side if I was a right handed shooter, then route the tape switch button over to the opposite side. I’d grind a spot for the tape switch pad to sit in.

Id also modify the x400 to make the toggle switch much harder to move. That way the system doesn’t get knocked to Off/Light Only/Both/Laser Only/Off. I’d trim the switch to make it hard to move from the Both setting I assume you want.

    Thanks again!

I might just run it without tape switch.

  2. Hello everyone,

    Long time no speak :).

I finally got my M4 and want to ask for some feedback/questions on the following:

1 - I want to purchase SureFire: X400 Ultra, any feedback on it for M4?

2 - What is everyone’s opinion on light mount for it? Should I go with IWC (Scout Light mount or 1913 picatinni mount?

Any other options for light mounts?

    Thanks and stay safe

  3. Go to Walmart or whatever and get a small bottle of flat enamel model paint in the appropriate color.

    thanks for your help tucker.

    One more question,

When I try to take the barrel off, it's extremely tight. I almost have to put a lot of force/pressure. Is it normal?

P.S. Top receiver is mated to the lower receiver correctly.

  4. Got my new toy! I'm speechless:D She's a beauty.

Quick question, I have a very small chip in my camo finish on the receiver..very hard to see. How should I care for it and will it be a big issue with a bit of metal exposed?

    thanks

  5. Welcome Aboard!

What kinds of hunting do you plan on doing with your new Benelli?

hey tucker, will be trying to bag some Canada goose, ducks, turkeys, upland, deer and boar :D

  6. Welcome to the forum, and to the world of Benelli. I'm sure you will be delighted with the SBE ll. I own one, and they really are a beautiful thing. Keep it clean and oiled, and it will not let you down. Enjoy...Mike

Thanks for the welcome Mike, looking forward to getting to know my SBE II and share/learn some stories and expirience here.

  8. Hello all,

Been reading the forum for some time and really appreciate all the great info.

My hunting buddy let me try his SBE II and I pulled the trigger and put one on hold at my local shop. It's a brand new SBE II with 26" bbls in camo. Here's my question..it's not a MAX-4 and not a Realtree APG but it looks like "break-up" pattern with a lot of green in it. I can't see this camo on Benelli site. Can someone clarify what camo is it?

    thanks in advance
