I am buying a new SBE II and wanted to get your opinion on whether to buy a 26 or 28 inch barrel? What are the benefits associated with each?

I will be purchasing a new SBE II later this year and wanted to know if there is ever any discounts (promotions, etc.) offered from Benelli. I know the gun usually does not go on sale, but if anyone could provide some examples of normal promotions and when they are usually offered, that would be great. Thanks!
