SBE3090

My SBE I S/N is U003090. Should be from 1992. No "Square box" on the receiver.

New member here. Joined to post this question. I have an old SBE I. I ordered an SBE II barrel as I've always preferred raised ribs. Ordered before Christmas. It's still "on the water", according to Benelli. I was just told this evening that while the barrel will fit on the receiver and function properly, I'll need to purchase a SBE II forend to make everything fit together all hunky-dory like. Is this correct information?
