Terribly disappointed with a Franchi I-12 my bride of 40 years bought for me today as an anniversary gift... Took it home and attempted to assemble it, a process that was far more difficult to get the barrel and forearm to mesh with the reciever... Even worse was that the shotgun's stupid carrier release was all but impossible to function properly... In fact the only way to close the bolt was to pull it back to release any pressure while at the same time depressing the cartridge drop lever and depressing the carrier release; again, all at the same time! Good grief, what terrible craftsmanship.
