there's nothing in the stock that the lip on the recoil pad would snap into. I know it's kind of a pain in the butt, but could I talk you into pulling the recoil pad off yours and show me what it looks like inside?

I borrowed a buddie's m2 field to do some bird hunting a week ago. During the hunt, somehow the recoil pad fell off and I lost it. I have bought a new comfortech recoil pad, but it seems like I'm missing a piece as it doesn't just snap in like I thought it would.
