  1. A couple of weeks ago I got a new 28” Vinci in black synthetic. According to the Vinci owner’s manual, it needs a minimum of 230 kgm (or 1663.6 lb/ft) of KE to cycle the action. This would, in turn, mean minimum load of 7/8 oz @1399 fps, 1 oz @ 1309 fps, and 1 1/8 oz @ 1234 fps. One of the issues that I have noticed with my 7/8 oz load is that, on its way back, the bolt is engaged by the stop tooth at the first notch under the bolt, stopping the bolt about halfway in the ejection port. I was wondering if someone would be able to enlighten me as to why there were two notches for the stop tooth under the bolt. I was also wondering if using a lighter carrier spring would help in alleviating this issue. Any information or experiences shared on Vinci cycling or not cycling lighter loads would be appreciated.
