  1. I've seen a couple of these (20" barrel, w/rifle stock), but can't find any info on whether the receiver comes already drilled and tapped. Are they?
  2. Just bought these 2, the M2 Benelli M2 21" Field #11036...............http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343350from from Champion Firearms, and I believe the stocks are 14 3/8 and a tad long for me so I'm going to sell these and get the shorter Benelli stocks. If interested pm w/a legitimate/serious price.
  3. Thank you Sir, will do. Just got the pads, they say they fit the M2 on the back of the package. Both guns DROS out this Wednesday, right after that I'll be contacting Dave of DMW to set up the mag ext. and after that I'll test out the pads and report back. The Limbsaver sku# for the Benelli pads is 10810.
  4. I ended up buying the Limbsaver "Air Tech" pads after calling Limbsaver and confirming that they indeed do snap into the Benelli M2 Field stock. I bought them because I could get them at $30.00 a piece and will judge between the OEM pad and these which is the best for me w/o risking a bunch of money. You folks know more about this than I do, so when folks mention the various pads I'm coming to this forum to ask your advice about them. I went to the "horses mouth" on the Limbsaver as far as it being a snap on pad for the Benelli M2, but I didn't know much of anything about it or the XCoil when I started looking into this which is why I was asking you folks. PS: After doing quite a bit of reading, I also watched this after which I sprung for the Limbsavers.
  5. Appreciated. At a certain stage in life, your joints won't take what they used to take. Thanks
  6. Yes, I have a Mesa Tactical stock on one of my other shotguns. That's a viable option, but I was hoping for the possibility of a simpler/cheaper "snap on" solution via a thicker and more comfortable recoil pad if that's possible to address the recoil. From doing a lot of reading, seems like other folks have addressed this by a thicker Benelli OEM recoil pad, the limbsaver, and the X-coil.Either one of these works, or I may go the different stock route. Thanks
  7. As I've said, I'm having 2 Benelli M2's 21" field shotguns in about 4 days. I have 69yr old shoulders, and don't have arthritis yet, and try to go the extra mile in getting the best pads on all my shotguns. The hottest ammo that I'll be testing these guns with is w/Federal rifled slugs @ 1600 fps.I've toyed with the thought of Magnaporting the barrels, or getting ported chokes on the Benellis, but I've perused the discussions about their causing enough noise to the point of being prohibitive, and being hard to clean, and not reducing recoil to any appreciative difference, and I want consider other ways to go.Checking out the thicker Benelli Comfortech pad (14 3/4 LOP), and that some folks swear by the X-coil pad, what are the feelings of the folks around here about the OEM thicker Benelli recoil pad and the X-coil for my Benelli's.I know these are inertia based guns, and that Benelli makes a recoil reducing mercury weight, are these a no-no with an inertia based gun? Thanks in advance.
  8. I'm thinking about recoil reduction particularly when using the Federal Truball 12ga. 1610 fps slugs which I'll be using in the 2 Benelli M2 21" Field shotguns which I'm getting in shortly.I've researched Magna Porting, that's the process from Magna Port Int. using their Electrical discharge process. They claim a reduction in recoil with eleven machined holes on either side of the barrel and they charge $99.00 for a single barrel.Did some more research w/some folks claiming a reduction using it, some say the process didn't make a difference. Most everybody said these ported barrels were loud, too loud. That concerns me.Also researched the "Comp n Choke", and "Kicks" ported chokes which also claim a reduction in recoil, which some folks recommend you buy to see if you're happy w/em as opposed to porting your barrel first. These run from $50-$70.Does anybody have any experience w/these ported chokes. I plan on testing out my slugs, and want the ability to knock down recoil/get every edge I can shooting these out to distance, plus making them easier to shoot.Do these things work, and if so, which ones? I'm assuming w/slugs that I'll be using the improved cylinder choke, assuming that the Truball wadding of the Federal slugs won't be a problem. Thanks in advance
  9. Hi Folks I just joined up here recently because I've ordered 2 Benelli M2 21" field shotguns and they should be on the way soon. I'm excited of course, because of what all I've heard about the guns. I tracked down what I thought was the lowest price, and I may have missed a better deal, but the deed is now done. I'm shopping around, and pricing everything I'm considering for the guns. I found this forum from one of my searches showing pics of the Benelli M2 21" with 2 different mag extensions which was from this forum. I've got the Nordic extension on one of my other guns, but one of your members mentioned that his Dave's Metal Works extension fits flush w/his 21" and so I tried contacting Dave. We played a bit of "phone tag", where I've called him, and he's called me, so I guess I'll just have to get lucky soon. I know I'll hear from him, but while I'm here, if anybody has the same set-up, I'll ask if they know which of Dave's extensions between the 7,8,9, or 10rd extensions fits exactly flush w/the Benelli 21" field (#11026). Thanks in advance, until I hear from Dave. PS: Dave has been kind enough to contact me, and I'll go w/him doing the work on my 2 Benelli's after they ship.
