Thanks! That's it. It limits it to 2+1. Benelli states this gun is a 4+1. I understand the compliance aspect (sort of) but wonder if I need to buy a shorter plug if I want to get to 4+1 or if I can just remove it. I need the shell limitation to legally hunt but would like the added capacity when shooting clays on my nephew's farm.

Hi, I just bought a Montefeltro 12 ga. My son was assembling for me and an aluminum pin with the dimensions 5mm diameter by 8.125 inches long fell on his foot. We think it goes into the threaded part that holds the for-end in place. Just want to verify before we take it out today. TIA, Charlie
