Gotcha. Thanks for the replies. I wanted to put it on the sling loops that comes with it but I just wanted to make sure I’m not setting myself up for failure.

Also does it require permanent modification to the c-stock to use the QD?

Does the sling get in the way of shooting it at all? I’d imagine it’s pretty close to the face. The fixed pistol grip stock’s sling loop worked perfectly with a narrower sling and I’m hoping it would have the same feel using the standard sling loop on the collapsible stock.

Hello all, I am trying to figure out how I’m going to set up a sling for the m4 collapsible stock. I see a lot of people using qd technology to attach their sling to the stock but not many people are using the sling holes that already come with it. I was wondering if I was missing some obvious downside of attaching the sling to that hole instead of using the quick disconnectors? Thank you

Yes, I was most concerned with the pistons, one or both, being bent during assembly Incase the channels didn’t align correctly. When I inspected the exposed part of the pistons after it was assembled, it moved freely up and down. Although I can only see one, the left one, through the ejection port.

Update: I was able to get it in! I pulled the charging handle back further (as much as the gun allowed me to) as I was inserting the barrel and it clicked into place. I am not sure if that technique is known (or recommended) by M4 owners but hope it helps for those that are struggling to assemble the gun in the future.

Thank you Evolution, I’ll give that a try. I am Kind of worried I might have damaged something because I was forcing it for a little while until I posted this thread. Do you know if the pistons are easily damaged when it is not aligned right with the holes during assembly?

Hi there, I recently purchased a Benelli m4 and I tried to assemble it out of the box and was having difficulty snapping/clicking the barrel into the receiver. It seems so easy on the videos and I feel like it shouldn’t require this much force to put it together. I locked the bolt to the rear and tried to slide the barrel in after lining up the fore grips but it is not clicking in place. It seems to stop right before it is about to engage. Any recommendations will be appreciated.
