I'm about to buy a used M3, as I absolutely love the stainless look and the option to use it semi or pump. However, I'm a little worried over the fact the current owner decided to drill into the receiver to install a picatinny rail. On one hand, it aesthetically bothers me, on the other hand I worried those holes could have a negative impact on the structural integrity of the receiver(like cracks forming around the drilled holes). I attached a pic of it he sent me. Are my concerns justified? Thanks in advance! P.S: Is it normal receiver and barrel have different serial numbers?
