Hi Conrad, Check out page 29 of the manual https://www.benelliusa.com/sites/default/files/content/media/manuals/2020-12/Lupo Final Manual 02-28-20.pdf 6.Insert the bolt cap into the bolt unit, aligning the marks on the two parts; compress the spring (a) pressing the side button (b) at the same time, then turn the bolt cap counterclockwise (c). NOTE: for this operation, it may be useful to have a support surface. Essentially, you line up the two red dots, force down, and twist the bolt cap counter-clockwise. It helps to place the bolt face against a hard flat surface while pressing down during the twist.

I read online the Lupo will not accept a Remintgon 700 pattern picatinny rail due to the screw pattern. Does anyone know where I could source the one-piece, six-screw rail Benelli sent out with the demo rifles used in the various gun magazine reviews that have been written? Thanks in advance.

Per page 27 of the manual, "insert the upturned bolt unit into the guides on the upper receiver and turn it back to the original position." In other words, insert the bolt into the action backward with the bolt handle pointing toward the left side of the rifle. Turn the bolt handle up and over the stock toward the right side of the rifle, and it will return to the correct position. The issue I had was re-assembling the bolt once I removed the firing pin. I learned I had to align the square feature on the bolt cap with the cut out on the bolt body, press down firmly, and twist into place.
