Thanks, yeah I couldn't find the one similar to what I was looking for on the search function, very little on heat shields actually. I did see a few people recommend Briley's handguard. Is it common to get rust on the barrels in general or is it specifically something that happens when using a heat shield? I really like the style with the holes in the image I found ?

Hello, I've been having a hard time finding a heat shield for my M4. Does anyone know where I can find something like the one in the image attached? I like it because it reminds me of the ones people put on their Mossberg 590's.

I have a side question - the limited edition "M1014" (11701) with the fixed stock - the tube doesn't have the notches to make it collapsible, so will the entire tube assembly need to be replaced to get the 3 position function? I think I read that it was very hard and you risk mangling the receiver due to the locktite. Is this correct? This would make the 11703 more desirable to me over the 11701 because switching over to a collapsible stock would be easier.

Hello, I am looking to purchase an M4 11703 that comes with the traditional stock/no pistol grip. I may want to add a collapsible stock in the future and wanted to know if this model comes with the 3 position tube inside the stock from the factory? Thanks.
