I like the KeepPower batteries Modlite sells better than the Surefire ones. I stopped buying the Surefire M600DF lights and went with Modlite. I like their light bodies better and the lamps have a hot spot that significantly out performs the Surefire DF heads. You can pick between the various models they have to suit your needs.

I’ll definitely check these out, thank you.

as for the Surefire. I got the email today and the shipping label to return it.

  2. Has anyone gotten one of these lights? I have one that is a month old. I’ve had it on for less than 5 minutes total. The other day I went to use it and it was super dim. I noticed it would flicker really bright when powering on, then go really dim. I figured the battery was drained somehow. Well, I charged the battery and have the same issue. I sent the company an email. Has any else had this issue?

  3. I was doing a little shooting yesterday and really couldn’t tell a difference between these two. Both felt great. Anyone recommend one over the other, or recommend a different shell altogether? Just shooting for fun.

If you have not read it already, from CC's website; believe it, or not.

...When only an optimal spring can make up for a marginal spring's occasional failings; We developed this exclusive replacement spring, made to our specifications for the Benelli M4 equipped with a Full Length magazine tube, utilizing W.C. Wolff's proprietary HTCS materials, that exceed the OEM's spring properties in many critical respects. Ever have the OEM spring "get away" from you during takedown/removal? If you noticed it kinked, and required straightening, then you've seen 1st hand one of it's weak links. A spring that kinks easily, will likewise take a "set" easily, diminishing its performance capabilities. No other spring on the market has ever been specifically engineered for the Benelli M4 full length magazine body... until now!! Note; Our Benelli Full Length TITANIUM Magazine Tubes include this "Extra-Power" Spring FREE!

I saw that, but I’d rather get reviews from those who have it installed and used it. I actually bought one when I first got my M4 but haven’t put it in because the factory spring seems to be doing just fine. Would I notice a difference?

I have the 11715 model, it has a full capacity tube, but it’s not 1 fixed tube, it’s the one that is screwed together. They are the same length so I’m assuming this spring should work. If I’m able to get another shell in it, that’s enough to make it worth it for me.

Fetter buckshot loads seven.  Several slug varieties load seven.  I buy bulk stuff usually cuz I like to shoot so it’s hit and miss.  It’s various unfired shell length mostly that is causing your problem, but the spring will give you another 1/2 inch or so over the factory spring.

How? Isn’t the spring more stout? I would think you would lose space if anything.

  7. Hey all!

I just installed my IWC mount and light. Those instructions sucked, but I got through it… I think.

i have two small screws left. I have no idea if they are optional, or I missed them. Anyone know? It seems snug, but who knows?C18C0E4B-5F18-4C08-8332-0E817D8AC6CA.thumb.jpeg.ba96f683bfd2aefb11c128c3b31ccbd1.jpegC18C0E4B-5F18-4C08-8332-0E817D8AC6CA.thumb.jpeg.ba96f683bfd2aefb11c128c3b31ccbd1.jpeg0A003DAF-E6A7-4FF1-A9F6-A902AF238A79.thumb.jpeg.55e166155d3fcc6985126911d5bcd633.jpeg

Not faulty, just not stout enough. This complaint has existed with the 7 shot tube for over a decade and a half.

If you want further diagnostic, run some 12 pellet 2.75" 1290fps or some #4 3" buck. It will exacerbate an under sprung mag.

Is that the one you were referring to, for a 7 round tube? Is this the best out there?

  9. 5 minutes ago, Unobtanium said:

I presume this was the last, or next to last round in the tube. If correct in my presumption, your issue is that you need a new mag spring. I recommend Carriercomp's, and if you cannot source that, FFTs.

It was second to last. Reall? Replace the spring? It’s a new gun. Are they faulty?

Does the lifter move without any resistance and feel springy?  Is there any resistance or rubbing? I had an aftermarket one I had to fix due to rubbing.  Is this happening continuously or this is the first malfunction in your first 100 rounds

It’s springy and there is no rubbing. It feels very smooth. This was the first and o my malfunction so far. Maybe it’s just the break in process?

  11. Today is the first day of owning my M4 11715. I have a question about a malfunction I had experienced. While shooting, a shell was not exactly fed. It was sort of floating here (see picture). All I needed to do was pull the bolt handle back. What happened? Less than 100 rounds in. I was shooting FIOCCHI Hi Velocity 12 gauge 2 3/4 1325fps 00 Buckshot.

sorry. i noticed your last question was for evolutions post regarding the scout light on an iwc mount. just to be clear: my post was regarding a surefire g2x tactical light on an ava mount.

I’d like to see yours too if possible

At the light’s head there’s probably an ~1/8th of an inch of clearance from the barrel/magazine. I can post up a

pic as soon as I get a chance.

That’s actually not bad at all. No rubbing.
