    Early day R1

    Lanark posted a topic in R1 Rifle

    I just picked up an used R1 in 30-06. It look kind of short so I measure the barrel and is only 20 inch. The front sight mounting screws is in the right place so the barrel wasn't cut down. New Benelli only comes in 22 or 24 inch barrel. Does anyone remember Benelli offer 20 inch barrel R1 in the early days?
