  1. Has anyone modified their Nova or SuperNova to fit five 2-3/4" shells in the mag tube? My SuperNova is about a 1/16" short of being able to stuff a fifth shell if I remove the mag tube snap ring (I despise these snap rings and prefer to remove them so I can remove the hunting plug easily and also run a patch down the mag tube when I clean the barrel). it is so close I can loosen the barrel nut just slightly and five will fit. the shells measure right at 2-1/4" which I believe to be normal right? Because 2-3/4" is before getting crimped. so if I was to mill out either the follower or the barrel nut or cut one or two coils off the spring (I do not want to do this) it would be possible to have a 5+1 SuperNova. the other option would be to create a washer / spacer to go under the barrel nut but then that would deactivate the ratchet detent. but wait the perfect spacer already exists! and it has the detent made into it. https://www.gggaz.com/benelli-nova-supernova-quick-detach-sling-and-flashlight-mount.html I can not be the only person to discover this guns hidden ability. is there anyone else who has done this?
  2. Can someone who has a 14" SuperNova please Measure the outside diameter of the muzzle and tell me what it is? I have been looking into getting a 14" SuperNova, but I REALLY want the ability to change choke tubes. I currently have a 28" SuperNova and the OD of the barrel at 14" is 0.828 which, according to my internet research, is big enough to be cut and threaded for standard tru-chokes, but not rem, win, or Benelli chokes. Looks like it needs to be at least 0.825 to be able to thread to tru-choke which seems to be the thinnest choke tube that does not recommend against slugs, buckshot, and other high-power shells. Correct me if anything is wrong. Although I got this information off the internet and the internet is never wrong ;). I do not want to cut down my 28" because of the huge ordeal and expense it would to be cut, thread, de-rib, solder a front sight, and then refinish. I would like to have a 28" and a 14" and so if I have to cut down a barrel I would rather get a carleson barrel and cut and threaded it instead of my OEM 28". So if anyone has a Carson barrel as well would you measure the OD at 14"?
