You might want to contact FFT. I'm sure they would help you out with this issue.

@John Doe Thanks. I'm going with the FFT parts and will be ordering today. I've watched several of Todd's videos and they were pretty helpful. He seems like a good guy and wants his customers to be happy. He said in the video that he gets calls all the time from customers asking if they should get the 1/2" or 3/4". You can't go wrong either way and it's all just a matter of preference.

@SuzukiGS750EZ Thanks for your reply. I watched a video yesterday from FFT that addressed the problem you talked about with the charging handle rotation and falling out. It sounds like you may have had a charging handle for an M1 or M2, and their design is distinctly different from the M4. Here is a link to the video if you are interested.

Thanks for the recommendation. FFT was at the top of my list, but GG&G had some good reviews as well, so I thought I would ask on this forum. What made you decide on the 1/2" charging handle over the 3/4"?

I'm fairly new to the forum. I have a M4, model 11715. I want to add an oversized charging handle and oversized bolt release and I'm looking for recommendations. So far, I've looked at the products offered at FFT & GG&G, and the bolt release tab from RX Arms. Can anyone in the forum give me some recommendations on which of these products have worked well for you? As far as the charging handle, is it better to get the 1/2" or 3/4"? The 3/4" looks huge, but maybe there is a good advantage to having that size vs the 1/2" that I'm not aware of? As far as an oversized bolt release button, does the button work out better than the "tab" that's offered by RX Arms? I appreciate any help you guys can pass on.

@John Doe All this helps a great deal. I really appreciate you taking so much of your time to help me out.

@John Doe Interesting. I better do a little more research on Youtube. You gave me a lot of great info and I appreciate it, but let me ask you one last question. Is there enough spill on the turbo for use as a home defense weapon, or would you definitely go with the non-turbo for home defense? I was thinking the turbo would be the best of both worlds, but maybe not?
-
@John Doe I'm mainly using mine for home defense, but having the longer throw when outside would be nice. I'm thinking the Turbo is the one to get, as it gives you the best of both worlds. The lumens on the turbo are 700 compared to 1,500 on the non-turbo Scout, but 1,500 lumens inside a home at night is a lot of light and may be a little too much. There is so much research that goes into every accessory. Thanks again for your input.

@John Doe Thanks for the information. I bought one of the Streamlights a while back, but I never put it on because I like the Surefires better. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to run a switch on it or not. What makes you like the Turbo over the non-turbo?

I'm in the process of selecting a light for my Benelli M4. Looking for recommendations for either the Surefire M640DF Pro; Surefire M640DFT Turbo Pro; or the Streamlight ProTac Rail HL-X. I appreciate any advice/recommendations you can give me.

I was trying to decide between the RMR & the SRO since there were pro's & con's for each. I wasn't aware of the RMR HD until now. I just looked it up and it seems like an awesome optic and probably the best for the M4 with the Mesa Reflex Mount. I appreciate your help.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm researching which red dot I want to get and I see you went with the Holosun. How did you decide on that one and does it co-witness with the factory iron sights?

@sukhoi_fan Thank you for the tip!

I'm brand new to this site. This is my first post and I hope I'm posting this in the correct area. Will I be notified if I receive any responses to my post? I'll try not to ask any stupid questions but I recently purchased an M4 and I want to build it out with the accessories that will enhance it the best I can. Does anyone have a Mesa Tactical SureShell Carrier With Reflex Mount for their M4? I'm thinking about adding one to my M4 and was curious how people like it and which red dot they ended up installing on it? I like the idea of the red dot being able to co-witnesses with the factory sights and I was considering either the Trijicon RMR or SRO. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
