I am trying to fix my 828U Sport without having to send it in for warranty repair. I have about 2000 rounds through the shotgun.
The locking lever will not stay to the right when opening the action. It does function correctly when the trigger group is out of the receiver.
I compared it to another 828U Sport at the field this morning. We noted that the pops out the front of the receiver protrudes further out and takes more force to push in to return the lever on my friends that mine. I suspect that the spring on mine may be weak or broken.
Does anyone know how to remove the locking lever assembly so I can check the spring and pin? I know there is a retaining screw for the lever assembly. I don't know if there is an internal spring that may unwind if I try to remove the lever assembly.
