Yes the gunsmith installed an FFT spring. Which i thought might have been the problem, so I replaced it with the original factory spring and it still has the same issue. I tried what you suggested in the later portion of your reply and it's 50/50 if the shell is partially in the magazine or just inert in the lift until I have to push it up with my finger. I haven't checked if the magazine is screwed in all the way yet. I'll have to do that.

I just recently got my Benelli m4 5 round magazine tube replaced with the 7 round tube at a gunsmith. After loading it is noticed something was wrong. The loading ramp is not loading in the next shell. I pressed the lift button as usual but the shell does not load into the chamber. I have to physically push in the loading ramp with my finger to get the shell to load into the chamber. Sometimes the shell is particularly inside of the magazine tube as well. When I cycle the weapon empty the feed ramp goes up as it's meant to when the bolt goes forward. I have not attempted firing the weapon yet. The shell length I am using for this is 2 3/4, wwhich I've never had an issue with the loading ramp before.
