  1. That sounds frustrating—and honestly a bit concerning from a safety standpoint. If your bolt is opening while hiking, especially through thick brush, it might be worth checking how tight or worn your bolt handle and detent system are. Sometimes debris, wear, or even lubrication issues can make the bolt easier to lift than it should be. As far as I know, most factory setups for the Lupo don’t include a 3-position safety like the Weatherby Vanguard rifle, and aftermarket options for that specific feature might be pretty limited. You might want to look into a gunsmith inspection there could be a way to increase bolt resistance or adjust tolerances. Another simple workaround some hunters use is carrying with a bit more awareness of bolt position or using a cover when moving through heavy brush.
