Best way to break down SBE II magazine tube.

I am looking fotr the best way to break down SBE II magazine tube. Apparently, the needle nose pliers that I used will not suffice. In fact, I tried using my standard needle nose pliers to break it down but I only accomplished pushing the stopper slightly deeper into the magazine tube. Any ideas? What are the proper pliers if you know?

You can also insert a small screwdriver through the hole and pry it out.

Just don't aim it back at yourself.
