WTB or WTT for Benelli M4 barrel

I'm looking for a used Benelli M4 barrel for an SBS project.

 

I can buy it outright or trade a new Colt AR-15A3 6721 lower receiver for it.

 

I'm open to pretty much any M4 barrel except the old 4-port low recoil type.

does the ar lower receiver come fully assembled?

or just bare receiver only?

Barrel cost is $826... Is there anything else you can offer with the lower?

The lower is stripped. I can add the Colt fire control group (hammer, trigger, pins, springs) to the deal.

 

I can get a new Benelli barrel for a shade over $600 from a local dealer.

Glad to meet you then. I hope you find the deal you've been searching for on the M4 barrel, because I just did!! Could you please tell me the most appropriate way I might get that barrel you are passing on... I have $600 I would give for it if you don't want it. PM me, we'll keep bumping this thread in the process, and perhaps you'll find a better deal that way. Meanwhile I can get that barrel and send in my form-1 for an SBS of my own. Do keep us informed on your conversion too. Sounds like you've got the same itch I do, to get that done and still have BOTH barrels. I have a quick switch mag tube system that will enable mine to have an appropriate length tube with either barrel, without ever having to use the gimpy 2 round extender.
