Need help supernova pistol grip

I'm trying to get the plastic inserts out of a benelli supernova pistol grip, so I can put a weaver mount on, for a scope. I'm trying to go from underneath to push the out from inside out. I remove the two pins on the side, but after doing so, I cannot get the trigger to come out, it won't budge. Can someone tell me how to get the plastic inserts out? And also what else do I need to do to lift the trigger system out? Thanks

On page 17 of the manual there's a little note that states if you have the pistol grip stock it will need to be loosened off or removed for the trigger group to come out.
